He rings my bell and asks me to come out to play! And naturally being the #1 cat person I am, he fills my soul and warms my heart. Cats are my greatest pleasure......all little creatures are! I love animals, nature and life itself! He is very well looked after and has a home, he just loves to visit me. I think he knows, I am indeed high on the list of "Cat People"! |

I don't know his name, but he is a little light in my life......he lives across the way. He runs to me whenever he sees me. He has come to trust me. I have fun wih him and play with him and pet his lovely little head. Perhaps, Georgie and Bugsy sent him my way knowing that I need a little buddy who is orange and furry.
His name, how about "Orange Pekoe"! I could call him Pekoe! But I won't. |

He does have a name, he is well looked after. He just likes to visit. I invite him in for a cup of tea and we talk for hours. He is a real little socialite. A great conversationalist and a little fiesty. Robust.......I talk back to him and he completely understands. I have yet to name him. For now, it is just plain ole "Pussy"! When I can get a better grip on his personality, his name will come forward. |

There's a stray cat who we'll call Lubo that has made his home at the moment (and for many moments now) outside of our house. Lubo has been known to go on long walks around the block with Hannah and me, which can look really cute and funny to those who pass us by, but it is actually quite chaotic and stressful to Hannah and me.
I finally came up with a plan to have more peaceful walks. For a while, Hannah and I were dashing out of the house as though we were going for a jog. We made it all the way down the street before Lubo realized we're gone. However, tonight, he caught up to us when Hannah dropped her ball and I stopped to pick it up.
I decided that instead of turning around, we would try walking for a while, hoping that he had learned new lessons during the six-week or so break. And while we continued peacefully (so far - so good) walking, I kept thinking that this scene would make for an interesting photo of the day. And then, as I pulled out the camera, he started chasing Hannah, who then started freaking out. And then the dogs in the yard next to us started freaking out. And then I started freaking out.
And yeah — so how in the world does one take a photo of the day when the cat is chasing the dog who is freaking out and is all like MOM, PLEASE PROTECT ME ASAP, THANKS? Answer: Draw it. So, I drew it.
Is anyone looking for a sweet, adorable cat? He's a very loyal companion. |

Just wanted to let you know that "Max," a gray and white cat that we adopted on March 2, 2009, has been an absolutely wonderful addition to our family.
He settled in so easily and is so patient with our three children and so well mannered!
We couldn't be happier and I think Max feels the same way too!
We're glad that a place like Lollypop Farm exists and we sincerely thank all the people who make it possible, who volunteer, and all the staff. It was a great experience and it's nice knowing that at least in this area, animals have such a place to go to when families can no longer care for them.
